Who ME?

Here is a picture of what our Weimaraner (Max) does to pass the time away if we are late getting home.... I got home later than normal a couple weeks ago and he apparently was frustrated. He was knee deep in cotton stuffing. This used to be his bed...Is that a look of guilt or what?!

Horse Races, Birthdays, and Vacations, Oh My!

May is the month of chaos! It is full of exciting times every year! Earlier this month, Geof and I went to Steeplechase here in Nashville. It is basically like Kentucky Derby, but on a much smaller scale. The women still get dressed up in big hats and heels though. Geof's firm rented a big tour bus / motor coach for the day and had everything catered. It was a GREAT time! Here we are with our friends Ken and Shelley. Ken works at the firm with Geof.

My birthday was last Friday. Geof and I both took most of the day off together. We went to lunch and then to an afternoon movie. We saw the new Narnia movie - great! Not as good as the first one, but I still loved it. The next evening, he took me to a nice dinner, but when we got there several of our friends were there to surprise me! It was perfect! And for my birthday, I got the new Nikon D60 camera. AMAZING!!! I cannot wait to break it in!!

We leave at 5am Saturday morning and head to Indianapolis, IN. Geof's best friend Kris and his wife Heather live there. So excited to see them!! We'll hang out with them Saturday and then the four of us will drive to Chicago Sunday for an extended weekend. We'll be back in Nashville Wednesday. I can't wait to go to my first Cubs game! And we are also excited to see Heather pregnant with her first baby! And I'm excited to have some great time with Geof.
